COMPANY AUDITIONS
Competitive & Company Program
At Just For Kicks, our Competitive Company Program is designed to help dancers grow, thrive, and succeed both on and off the stage. Throughout the spring competition season (March–June), dancers are encouraged to challenge themselves, build confidence, and perform at their highest potential in a positive and supportive team environment.
Our program offers a variety of levels so each dancer can be placed with teammates who will motivate, inspire, and bring out the very best in one another. With professional training, strong mentorship, and age-appropriate expectations, we focus on developing skilled, confident, and passionate dancers at every stage of their journey.
Our Competitive Levels
Rising Stars
Ages 7–10
Perfect for dancers beginning their performance journey and developing foundational dance and movement skills.

1–2 competitions per year
Shooting Stars
Ages 5–7
For dancers taking a serious step into competitive dance with a strong grasp of basic technique and movement. Dancers are learning routines, applying corrections, and building confidence on stage.

2–3 competitions per year
Ignite Company
Ages 8-11
Designed for dancers with at least one year of competitive experience and a solid technical foundation. These dancers apply corrections well, retain choreography with ease, and are developing a deeper understanding of competitive performance.

Passion Company
Ages 10–13
For dancers exploring greater movement quality and versatility in styles. Dancers have 3–4 years of competitive experience and continue strengthening technique, performance, and adaptability.

Empower Company
Ages 12–14
Dancers demonstrate strong technical understanding, movement quality, and dance vocabulary. Teamwork, leadership, and positive attitude are emphasized as dancers become role models within the studio.

Spirit Company
Ages 11–16
For dancers continuing to refine advanced movement quality while exploring a wide range of styles. Dancers demonstrate strong technique, performance ability, and responsiveness to corrections.

Elevate Company
Ages 12-16
Our elite-level dancers demonstrate advanced technical training, performance excellence, leadership, and commitment to their team. Elevate Company dancers are positive role models and often assist in younger classes while continuing to grow as artists and performers.

WHEN ARE THE AUDITIONS?
Our Auditions are taking place on Monday, June 8th & June 9th, 2026. Each age group has its designated time slot in which you must register in according to age as of December 31st, 2025:
June 8:
5-6:30pm ages 8-12yrs
6:30 - 8pm ages 13+
June 9:
5-615pm 5-7yrs & Invited Recreational Company

Who Can Audition?
Any dancer who has had previous dance experience is encouranged to come and audition. Auditioning is a great experience for any young dancer who is hoping to pursue a career in dance. It allows them go outside their comfort zone in a controlled enviroment in order to perform at their best.

Day of Audition
On the day of the audition, please ensure you and your child do the following:
- arrive 15min early to sign in and set up
- wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in
- tie hair back and bring any dance shoes they regularly perform in (foot Undies, jazz shoes, turners, half-souls, ballet shoes, or bare feet)
- bring a water bottle and a good attitude!
